Left my Qnap in limbo for a few months and after I switched it on and upgraded my TS453mini to the latest version, I can't seem to see any of my files on my shared drive on the TV. I've got 3 shared folders that comes up on the TV: Video, Pictures, Animation. When I click on them, it's all blank.

Depending on the syno model, you may have limited horsepower for transcoding, so make sure your media is h.264 or some other direct play format.
I'm looking to buy the TS-453Bmini mostly for one reason: serve my media to Kodi on my Samsung smart TV. My old setup was having a shared drive on my PC with all my media, and the TV with Kodi accessing it via WiFi.
3 jaar geleden heb ik voor mijn vrouw een Samsung UE22H5600 smart tv gekocht. Met deze tv kan ik via mijn thuisnetwerk de NAS benaderen en de video bestanden afspelen. Ik ging er eigenlijk blind vanuit dat elke smart tv dat kon, maar nu heb ik dus een QE55Q6FAMLXXN en nu kan ik dus niet via de NAS

The was the same for the Samsung Blue-Ray i got at the same time. I had to take down my network to move it to another room. Shut down my NAS's, moved them, and turned them back on.
