RTÉ is Ireland's most popular TV broadcaster, but it is only available in Ireland. If you want to stream content on the RTÉ player from the US, the UK, or anywhere else in the world, you are going to need a VPN for RTÉ. Stopped working for Rte player today. Help. 3) use a spoof Irish IP address e.g Irish Times, Independent, RTE etc etc The video below shows you how to set up modify headers, but remember you can't use 12.13.14.15 - you will need to change that to the Irish IP address you are spoofing. Need Irish Proxy server :(Hi all, In Finland. Wanting to watch GAA Longford versus Westmeath. RTE wont let me view it with foreign IP. Ive tried the normal proxy lists and none of them live. Can anyone help!!! The game is SOON! Cheers! X Advertisement Hello Ireland! I was curious to know if anyone would be able to PM me a proxy so that I can watch Rally Ireland on RTE from Thursday to Sunday. Over here in the States we don't get coverage, and there seems to be no hope to see it other than some help from you all. Any help is greatly appreciated. At high school I torrented a lot, so once I was scrolling web pages in search of a good proxy for it. I found a free Irish proxy list and started using one of the services - irishproxyserver.com. It was free first, but then I had to pay. Now I find VPNs are much better than proxy servers. VPNs are more reliable for security and access to sites.
Fortunately there is another way, and that is connecting via a VPN or proxy server, when you do this the web site see's the servers address and not your real one. So if the VPN server is in Ireland, you will also appear to be in Ireland and all Irish only resources like RTE Player will work just fine.

So for example, if you were based in Spain you could connect through a British server to watch UK TV, then use an Irish server to access RTE and 3Player. Related posts: Access TV3 Player Using an Irish Proxy Server
I know RTE have to protect their content, and more power to them for doing so, but I think they should also see about how to legitimately sell access to Irish people outside of Ireland too. I love watching the odd few programs, it's great that shows like the Late Late are available for free, I know I'd pay €5 / month for legal access. If you want to watch RTE or TG4 from abroad, or do some online banking, for that matter, you'll be needing an Irish IP address. Cloudwards.net shows you how to get one in this easy-to-follow guide.
